The next Elizabeth's Antique & Collectible Sale will be held four weeks today! Typically our spring sale is the biggest and busiest of the year. We have over 140 tables loaded with the city's best antiques waiting for you. Many customers come on both days since they feel that they haven't seen everything the first day. Often vendors will also bring new items the second day to replace sales on Friday. Anything can happen at each sale! Last sale we had a group of young adults who specialize in theatre makeup appear and pose among the vendors' booths. Elizabeth's sale is also becoming known as an fashion event to be seen in vintage clothing. Since we are the first major Edmonton antique sale of 2014, it should be very busy at the Hangar on March 14-15, 2014. See you there!

Elizabeth's Antique & Collectible Sale is an event for ALL age groups. Of course there are the usual antique hunters who are looking for the best deals. But more and more young adults are looking for items from the exciting 60-80s. Vintage clothing, record LPs, furniture and pop culture are sought from our vendors. Fine china is slowly making a comeback since the best were made in England, other European countries and Japan earlier in the 20th century. Ladies enjoy the wide assortment of jewelry and other goodies at our sale. Guy stuff is in great demand since everyone knows that boys love their toys. Seniors walk down the aisles reminiscing about items found from their rural past. Parents often take their children to our sale as an educational experience since our techno-savvy children now do not know what many former everyday items are. Examples include typewriters, gigantic old cell phones and LP records. Elizabeth's Antique & Collectible Sale is an event for everyone! See you this Friday 2-8PM and Saturday 10-4PM at the Alberta Aviation Museum. Free parking. $5.00 admission for adults and free for children under 12 years of age.

The name Lalique is the stuff that dreams are made on. It evokes the brilliance of jewellery, the wonder of transparency, the sparkle of crystal. Before it became a brand name, it was the name of a man, an artist of genius, René-Jules Lalique and of his heirs who shared his creative flame.
I found this website about Lalique. The company has its own museum.

Does anyone have a story about their favorite antique find? I was in a second hand store in a nearby town when I saw a beautiful crystal rooster on the shelf. I purchased it for just a few dollars and took it home. When I put on my glasses, I noticed that it was signed LALIQUE. So I googled it and there it was. My rooster is valued over $1000!

All the tables and spaces are rented for the November 1-2, 2013 sale at the Alberta Aviation Museum! In fact all the overflow spaces have been rented as well. Great News! We are still accepting names for our waiting list. All photos are added to the website. Please take a look at the wonderful variety of items at our March, 2013 sale. The nasty weather did not keep our excited customers at home. Thank you to everyone for your support!
